Thanks to the tracking technology supported by Forever Wild Foundation, a collared female cheetah in Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park has been sighted with her cub following a three-month denning period. This sighting was particularly significant, as she had not been observed for over four months.
The technology, specially manufactured by Wildlife ACT Innovations, allowed monitoring teams to assess the condition of both mother and cub and confirm a successful breeding event. Wildlife ACT will continue tracking their progress, highlighting the importance of long-term monitoring in supporting cheetah conservation and the growth of vulnerable populations.
